How much fragrance oil should I use?
All of our fragrance oils are high quality and designed specifically for their excellent scent release capabilities, meaning a small amount usually goes a long way. The formula for calculating the exact quantity you will need is relatively complex. This is why we have put together a guide which will give you more detailed information on this subject and which you will find here. As a general rule, it is advisable to start with a fragrance oil proportion of between 5-8% of the total volume, although you can go up to 10% for less intense scents. It is always best to experiment with each combination of wax and scented oil, remembering to proceed gradually, increasing the quantity little by little. If you follow the guide and respect the flash point temperatures, you will be able to create deliciously scented candles in the blink of an eye. It is not recommended to use a proportion of scented oil greater than 12% of the total volume, to prevent the candle from starting to ooze or the oil from starting to flow down the length of the candle.
