Each melt can be added to a wax melt burner to release a beautiful scent. Watch the added mica powder or glitter swirl while they melt. For these wax melts, we used 60g of wax. Add the wax to a bain marie or double boiler on a medium heat until the wax has melted all the way through. It should go smooth and <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-extras\/50mm-candle-safety-label-white-black-text\">clear<\/a> once fully melted. We recommend melting this wax around 70\u00b0c.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>Step Two<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2332\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/3-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Next, you will want to weigh out your fragrance oil- we have used a 10% fragrance load. This means 10% of the 60g of wax which equals 6g of <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/fragrance-oils-for-candle-making\/premium-fragrance-oils\/cosy-owl-premium-1-million-type-fragrance-oil\">fragrance oil<\/a>. EcoSoya Melt has been specially designed to take fragrances up to a 12% load.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>Step Three<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2334\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/4-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2334\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/4-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=2334\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2336\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/5-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2336\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/5-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=2336\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It is important to check your fragrance oil flash temperature point before adding to the wax, as every scent has a different temperature to which it will need to be added. The flash point of a fragrance, is the temperature at which the oil will start to evaporate. To keep a good scent you will need to add the oil to the wax under its flash point number. In this case, Peony Petals has a flashpoint of <strong>93.3\u00b0C<\/strong>. Add the fragrance oil to the melted wax and stir in gently until fully blended.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>Step Four<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2337\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/6-1-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2337\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/6-1-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=2337\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2338\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/7-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2338\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/7-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=2338\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><br \/>Next, add a pinch of the pink dye to the melted wax and mix slowly until all one colour.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>Step Five<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2339\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/8-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For an extra melting swirl effect in your wax melts add some mica powder. A small amount goes a long way so a small spoonful will work well.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4>S<strong>tep Six<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2340\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/11-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once this has been mixed in fully, at around 55-60 degrees pour the wax into the moulds.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Optional: You may want to add some extra sparkle to the wax melts. Simply add a pinch and sprinkle over the melts to add an eye-dazzling effect.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4><strong>Step Seven<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2341\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/13-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After 24 hours de-mould your circle wax melts. Add your wax melts to a wax melt burner and enjoy the sweet, <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/fragrance-oils-for-candle-making\/all-fragrances\/lavender-fragrance-oil\">floral scent<\/a> of Peony Petals.
