As the containers we are using hold 240g of wax each, each layer needs to be 80g so we weighed out 240g of wax to fill <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/candle-containers\/other-containers\/wax-melt-christmas-tree-mould-3\">3<\/a> containers. Once you\u2019ve measured out your wax, put it on a medium heat and melt it all the way through.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-907\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.41.01-2-1024x573.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"907\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.41.01-2.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=907\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 \u2013 Prepare Your Containers<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Whilst you wait for your wax to melt, it\u2019s time to prepare your containers ready for the first pour. Take a glue dot and stick it to the base of your wicks and then place the wick in the container, making sure it\u2019s central. Once stuck down, add a wick centering tool to hold the wicks in place.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-908\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.41.13-1024x571.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"908\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.41.13.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=908\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 \u2013 Add The Dye And Fragrance Oil<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Making sure the wax is at 65\u00b0C, it is time to add the desired amount of dye. Select the first colour for your layered <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/a-summers-beach-gel-votive-candle\">candle<\/a>, we have chosen black, and gently stir this into the wax until it has fully dissolved.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now it is time to add the fragrance oil, we have chosen <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/pumpkin-spice-wax-melts\">Pumpkin Spice<\/a>. Once poured, leave for half an hour before pouring the next layer. If there is any spare wax, dispose of this and <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/glitters\/pure-white-biodegradable\">clean<\/a> the burner.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-911\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.42.26-1024x571.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"911\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.42.26.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=911\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5 \u2013 Repeat The Process For Your 2nd Layer<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Whilst you wait for the wax to <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/glitters\/lake-blue-biodegradable\">cool<\/a>, measure out and melt another 80g of wax and repeat the previous steps, opting for your second colour of choice \u2013 we have chosen orange.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Ensure the first layer of the candle has cooled prior to pouring the second layer on top, once again using weighing scales to pour 80g of wax. Clean the burner again after doing the second pour.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-912\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.43.06-1024x570.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"912\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.43.06.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=912\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6 \u2013 Repeat The Process For Your Final Layer<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Melt the last of the wax the same as before, adding the fragrance and dye when the wax has melted \u2013 this time we have chosen purple dye.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once the second layer has cooled, pour the third layer into the container, using your scales to weigh the final 80g of wax. Then leave your candles to set for a minimum of 24 hours.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-6 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-913\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.43.55-1024x574.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"913\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-01-at-15.43.55.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.cosyowl.com\/guides\/?attachment_id=913\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7 \u2013 Trim Your Wicks<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After your candles have set its time to trim your wicks.
