Below is our <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/a-guide-to-creating-your-own-soap-products\">guide<\/a> for making a two-tone marble candle with a choice of wick finishes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Approx. 250-300g of either <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-wax\/paraffin-wax\/kerawax-4105-paraffin-container-wax\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Kerawax 4105<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-wax\/soy-wax\/kerasoy-4130-container-wax\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Kerasoy 4130<\/a> (per candle)<\/li>\r\n<li>3g of <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-dyes\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Bekro Dye<\/a> (colour can be of your choice we used <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-dyes\/bekro-dye-6000-01-black\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">6000\/01 Black<\/a>)<\/li>\r\n<li>50ML bottle of a <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/fragrance-oils\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Fragrance Oil<\/a> of your choice (we recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/fragrance-oils\/teakwood\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Teakwood<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/fragrance-oils\/creed\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Creed<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/fragrance-oils-for-candle-making\/all-fragrances\/acqua-di-gio-type-fragrance-oil\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Aqua Di Gio<\/a>)<\/li>\r\n<li>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-wicks\/tcr-series-wick-120mm\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">TCR 33\/18<\/a> (per candle)<\/li>\r\n<li>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-extras\/glue-dots\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Glue Dot<\/a> (per candle)<\/li>\r\n<li>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-containers\/candle-glasses\/glass-container---30cl-karen-round-matt-black\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Matt Black 30CL Karen Glass<\/a><\/li>\r\n<li>1 <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-tins\/silver-round-candle-tin-with-window-lid-250ml\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">250ML Silver Round Tin with Window<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 1 <\/strong><br \/>Pour the required amount of wax into your melt pot (I am using one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-extras\/beka-bain-marie-double-walled-boiler\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Bain Maries<\/a>.) Don&#8217;t let the temperature of the wax exceed 70\u00b0C, so keep an eye on your <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-extras\/essential-wax-thermometer\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">thermometer<\/a> reading. If you need help working out how much wax you need per container, please follow our guide <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/percentages-and-measurements\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Percentages &amp; Measurements When Making Candles.<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong> <br \/>Preparing your glass ready for pouring the wax is a relatively simple process. Tab the sustainer on the wick with one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/tools-equipment\/glue-dots-pack-of-100\">Glue Dots<\/a> and stick down in the centre of the container. Then, using a wick centering tool, hold the wick in place from above. If you don&#8217;t have one of these, not to panic, using a garden peg can have the same effect. Don&#8217;t forget to keep checking the wax and its temperature.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle3.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/candle-containers\/other-containers\/wax-melt-christmas-tree-mould-3\">3<\/a> <\/strong><br \/>If you are using the <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/preparing-your-wooden-wick\">wooden wick<\/a> instead, you need to put a glue dot onto the sustainer and place this into the centre of the base of the container. Then taking your two pre-waxed <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/how-to-make-luxury-candles-with-wooden-wicks\">wooden wicks<\/a> place them together and insert into your sustainer. If you need help with waxing the wood wicks, please see our guide <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/preparing-your-wooden-wick\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Pre-waxing your Wooden Wicks.<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle4.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong> <br \/>Once your wax has fully melted, <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/glitters\/lake-blue-biodegradable\">cool<\/a> the wax slightly. If you are using <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/fragrance-oils-for-candle-making\/premium-fragrance-oils\/cosy-owl-premium-1-million-type-fragrance-oil\">fragrance oil<\/a> you will need to add it at this point (you can use our <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/percentages-and-measurements\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">Percentages &amp; Measurements When Making Candles<\/a> guide to help with volumes of fragrance required). Transfer the wax into your pourer. Slowly pour the wax into you prepared containers and leave to settle for approx. 5 minutes. If the room temperature is cold only leave for 2-3 minutes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle5.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 5 <\/strong><br \/>Whilst the wax is being left to cool in the container, take your choice of dye chips and crush these into smaller pieces. You can do this either with your fingers or alternatively you can use a pestle and mortar if you prefer. Once the wax has been left to cool, take a pinch of dye and gently drop into the molten wax sparsely. Drop from a low height, as close to the glass as you can so that it drops slowly through the wax.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle6.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>Step 6 <\/strong><br \/>Leave the dye to settle and dissolve slightly in the wax for a minute or two max. Using a thin pointed object (knitting needle, temperature thermometer) slowing move the needle around to create a swirling marble effect. Please do this gently or you will cause the dye to fully dissolve into the wax losing the marble candle pattern.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/guides-fathers-day-marble-candle7.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Step 7<\/strong> <br \/>Leave the candles to fully cool for at least 24 hours but if using fragrance oil, we do recommend a preferred time frame of 5 to 7 days to allow the fragrance oil and wax to cure properly ensuring a better scent release when burning.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>All there is left to do now is to create your personalised label for your marble candle!
