Now, peel off the other side and place the wicks as central as you can into the containers, firmly pushing onto the base to make sure it\u2019s properly stuck. As usual, use your wick centering tools to keep the wicks place.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1528\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/step2-1-1024x668.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 \u2013 Add Your Dye<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once the wax has fully melted, give it a quick stir around and double-check the temperature (it should be around 60-65\u00b0C), if it\u2019s above, simply take the wax off the heat and leave it to <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/glitters\/lake-blue-biodegradable\">cool<\/a> for a couple of minutes. When cooling, it\u2019s not uncommon for the wax to go below the desired temperature, in this case, you\u2019ll have to pop it back onto a low heat to <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/craft-kits\/candle-making-kits\/soy-wax-mulled-wine-christmas-candle-making-kit\">warm<\/a> it up again.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>If your wax is at the desired temperature, it\u2019s time to add the desired amount of colour dye for the base &#8211; we are using Cream. Stir it thoroughly and let the dye melt through the wax to obtain a nice even colour.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1529\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/step3-1-1024x596.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1529\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4 \u2013 Prepare The Wax For Your Shapes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Place a jug onto your scales and measure 200g of wax for the shapes &#8211; we will be creating flower shapes. Then immediately add your chosen dye. We suggest picking a dye that makes a nice contrast with the base for a more eye-popping effect &#8211; we have chosen Light Rose Pink. Stir the dye through the wax until completely melted.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Tip &#8211; <\/strong>Give a quick warm-up to the pouring jug before transferring the wax into it. This way you\u2019ll make sure the wax remains at a liquid state and doesn\u2019t harden too quickly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1530\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/step4-1-1024x730.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1530\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5 \u2013 Add Your Fragrance Oil<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Check your fragrance oil\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/guides\/how-to-use-fragrance-oils\/?wmc-currency=EUR\">flash point<\/a>, then pour around 10ml of your chosen fragrance oil into the 200ml of melted wax for the shapes &#8211; we have chosen <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/fragrance-oils-for-candle-making\/all-fragrances\/peony-petals-fragrance-oil\">Peony Petals<\/a>. Once you\u2019ve done that, you will simply need to add the rest of the fragrance oil (around 40ml) to the main wax making sure the temperature is around 60\u00b0C, then stir it in carefully for about 1 minute.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-5 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1531\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/step5-1-1024x632.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1531\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6 \u2013 Pour The Wax Into The Containers &amp; Mould<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now you can start pouring the base wax into the <a href=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/en_ie\/candle-making-supplies\/candle-containers\/candle-glasses\/karen-30cl-candle-glass-frosted-amber-pack-of-12\">candle containers<\/a> making sure it is around 60\u00b0C. We suggest leaving a couple of inches of space from the top to leave room for the shapes. Now, leave the base to settle for at least one hour.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the meantime, proceed to pour the wax for the shapes into the mould and just like the base, leave to settle for an hour minimum.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-6 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1532\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/wGPi0xAk-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7 \u2013 Embed The Shapes Into The Base<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once the wax has solidified, remove the wick centering tool and pop the shapes out of the mould, positioning them into the container. At this stage, you should re-melt the remaining wax, as you will need to pour it into the container to create that nice embedding effect.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now you can leave them to set overnight.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-7 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1533\" src=\"https:\/\/cosyowl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/step6-1-1024x609.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"1533\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8 \u2013 Trim The Wick &amp; Enjoy!<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Trim the wicks to around 5 millimeters for a perfect burning measurement. And there you have it!
