Pour out 13 millilitres of castor oil<\/a> and add it to a measuring jug.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pour out 40 millilitres of jojoba carrier oil<\/a> and add it to a separate measuring jug.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In a third measuring jug, pour out 40 millilitres of sweet almond carrier oil<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Mix all of the oils together using a mixing spoon.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Add a small amount of an essential oil<\/a> like lavender<\/a>. If you like, you can combine multiple essential oils<\/a>, such as lemongrass, grapefruit and patchouli to create a bespoke scent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Your oil is now complete and ready to use. Ideally, you should store your oil in a cool<\/a>, dry place at room temperature. However, if you prefer a colder and firmer oil, then you can store it in the refrigerator.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Benefits of Carrier Oils and Essential Oils<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Carrier oils<\/a> and essential oils<\/a> contain vitamins that provide a number of benefits. Overall, carrier oils do two jobs. Firstly, they \u2018hold\u2019 the essential oil or fragrance oil<\/a>, which has to be diluted before contact with the skin. Secondly and most crucially, they moisturise, nourish and revitalise your beard.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

As a result, carrier oils such as jojoba oil<\/a> moisturise and strengthen hair. This is because jojoba oil is full of vitamin C, B and E, copper and zinc.\u00a0Plus, it can help with dandruff, hair loss and promote general hair thickness as well.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Similarly, castor oil makes the perfect base for beard oil because of its high fat content. It can help to\u00a0hydrate\u00a0the hair,\u00a0nourish\u00a0roots and add\u00a0shine\u00a0to your hair. When making a beard oil, try mixing it with the eucalyptus essential oil<\/a>, as this can help\u00a0accelerate hair\u00a0growth.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
